The International Scientific Conference «Sakharov Readings 2019: Environmental Problems of the XXI Century» completed its work

On May 24, 2019, sections and round tables of the International Scientific Conference «Sakharov Readings 2019: Environmental Problems of the XXI Century» continued their work in their topics. 337 participants attended the Conference including: 176 participants made oral presentations, 74 participants presented poster presentations, 87 people presented their reports in correspondence form of participation. Upon completion of the sections and round tables work, a final meeting of the Local Organizing Committee was held, where the Conference was summed up and the heads of sections and round tables made reports and proposals. The meeting participants discussed all positions of preparation and holding of the Conference, took into account the wishes of the conference participants and announced a preparatory period for holding the 20th anniversary international scientific conference «Sakharov Readings 2020: Environmental Problems of the XXI Century», which will start in September 2019.

It is necessary to underline the great contribution and support of the conference by the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Belarus, the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection of the Republic of Belarus, Belarusian State University, Belarusian Republican Foundation on Fundamental Research, Department for mitigation of the consequences of the Chernobyl disaster of the Ministry of Emergencies of Belarus, Republican Center for State Environmental Expertise and Advanced Training for Leading Workers and Specialists of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection of the Republic of Belarus, Public Council of the Base Organization for Environmental Education of the CIS countries, HLD Umwelt GmbH (FRG), Coca-Cola HBC Belarus, publishing house of the information-computer center of the Ministry of Finance.
